ALERTCalifornia is a public safety program based at the University of California San Diego.
Your support contributes to ALERTCalifornia’s fundamental and translational research and development vision and mission, aimed at creating innovative, open-access technology to prepare for, respond to and recover from natural disasters.
ALERTCalifornia’s research provides actionable, real-time data to state emergency managers, policy makers, scientists, and industry partners.
Student Support
ALERTCalifornia also hopes to inspire the next generation by prioritizing student-driven research that can both support and enhance the growing network and ever-more-important data that informs decision making across California.
Center for Public Preparedness Fund
ALERTCalifornia’s statewide camera network is an essential tool for California’s local, state, and federal emergency managers. The camera network delivers real‑time, open‑access data that emergency managers, scientists, industry partners, and community leaders use to spot fires faster, protect biohabitats and infrastructure, and keep communities safer.
